Precision Toolroom Machinist

This full-time, direct-hire opportunity is for a seasoned machinist who takes pride in turning prints into perfectly finished parts. You’ll start your shift reviewing drawings, mapping out your setup, and selecting the right tools for manual lathes, mills, and grinders. From there, you’ll bring parts to life—simple pieces, moderately complex features, and everything in between—holding tolerance and finish as top priorities.

What you’ll do

• Set up and run manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce parts to specification, from straightforward features to moderately complex geometries.
• Lay out stock by measuring, marking, and scribing reference points; collaborate with Tool & Die Makers to compute dimensions and plan layout and assembly steps.
• Fixture and secure workpieces in chucks, vises, and other holding devices; use hand tools to fit and assemble parts into subassemblies and mechanisms.
• Inspect completed work with precision metrology (micrometers, indicators, height gages, etc.) to verify conformance to drawings.
• Support Tool Grinders and Tool & Die Makers as needed to keep work flowing.
• Provide and maintain essential hand tools and measurement devices; perform additional duties as assigned.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of trade school training in machining technologies and two years of related toolroom or manufacturing experience; an equivalent blend of education and experience will be considered.
• Strong command of GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading (required).
• Hands-on CNC programming experience (required).
