Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join its clinical team. Compensation: $121,000-$150,000 + Bonus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct dental procedures including cleanings, radiographs, and extractions.
- Deliver preventive care including wellness exams, vaccinations, and client education.
- Support hospital operations by contributing to a positive, team‑oriented workplace culture.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow‑up care.
- Perform routine soft‑tissue surgeries such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and wound procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain current knowledge of best practices in veterinary medicine.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for companion animals, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and case management.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative hospital environment.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution.
- Excellent communication, time‑management, and client‑service skills.
- Strong clinical skills in small‑animal medicine, diagnostics, and preventive care.
- Eligible for Connecticut veterinary licensure (active license or clear path to obtain one)
- Ability to perform routine surgeries and dental procedures or willingness to develop these skills with mentorship.
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Internship training or experience in a multi‑doctor or AAHA‑style practice.
- Familiarity with high‑volume hospital operations and collaborative case management.
- Experience managing a steady caseload and working within appointment‑based or production‑based workflows.
