Shipping Clerk

JOB TITLE: Shipping Clerk

Job Summary: The candidate will be responsible for managing the shipment of all products, materials and supplies. This role requires close collaboration with logistic technicians, customer service representatives, service providers and other stakeholders involved in the shipment process. The shipping clerk will also be responsible for tracking, tracing and updating the status of outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Key responsibilities:

· Manage and coordinate the shipment of all products, materials and supplies.

· Collaborate and communicate effectively with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers and other involved in the shipment process.

· Track, trace and update the status of outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

· Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.

· Verify the accuracy of shipment contents and resolve any discrepancies.

· Maintain records of all shipment and ensure that all data is accurately entered into the company’s systems.

· Assist with inventory management ad ensure that products are properly packaged and labeled for shipment.

· Monitor and manage shipping costs to ensure cost-effective shipping practices.

· Provide support to the logistics team as needed.

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.

· Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to track, trace, and update shipment statuses accurately.

· Proficiency in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices is a plus.

· Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
