Are you an Elder Law Attorney with at least 2 years of experience elder law?

If you answered yes to these questions, we have a job for you! Sechler Law Firm, one of the region’s largest estate planning and elder law firms, is looking for a new Elder Law Attorney. We have a significant and growing caseload of Medicaid Spend Down cases and we'd love your experience to help these clients succeed.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney ready to join a dedicated team of Elder Law professionals.


Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Compensation:

$100,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement Medicaid eligibility strategies to get clients the care they need while preserving assets.
  • Manage Medicaid "Spend Down" cases from start to finish.
  • Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  • Manage paralegals and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Develop and deliver educational presentations to groups of potential clients and community organizations on estate planning, elder law, and related topics.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on business development, client relations, and operational strategy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Pennsylvania elder law, estate and trust law, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  • Ability to guide clients through one of the most stressful times of their lives.
  • Understand nursing home Medicaid eligibility rules and have a working knowledge of asset protection strategies.
  • Experience handling appeals through the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals process.
  • Commitment to serving elderly clients and their families with compassion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and client counseling skills.
