Now Hiring: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)


About the Role:

The ADON supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading nursing staff in a resident-centered environment.


The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with excellent communication skills, a commitment to excellence in senior care, and experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing with daily nursing operations
  • Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
  • Monitor resident care plans and clinical outcomes
  • Conduct rounds to ensure quality care and resident satisfaction
  • Assist with staff scheduling, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions
  • Participate in infection control, quality assurance, and risk management programs
  • Support survey preparedness and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Investigate incidents and ensure proper documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes
  • Serve as acting Director of Nursing in the DON’s absence

Requirements:
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid and active state-issued Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or ADON role
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required
