Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part Time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to our exciting and growing team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials on Cardiac specific equipment. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures
- Operate a Nuclear Cardiology and Stress Equipment
- Position patients and ensure their comfort during imaging procedure
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any adverse reactions
- Capture high-quality images of the targeted areas for diagnostic evaluation
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret images and provide accurate reports
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure risks
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing Nuclear Cardiac SPECT
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot nuclear medicine equipment effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist (RT) certification in Nuclear Medicine.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
