Your Role:As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and supporting patients with sleep and cardiopulmonary disorders. You'll work independently while collaborating with physicians and care teams to deliver accurate, high-quality sleep studies for patients of all ages.
What You'll Do:
- Perform and monitor overnight sleep studies (polysomnography)
- Analyze and score sleep data in accordance with clinical standards
- Apply physician orders and departmental protocols to patient care
- Identify and respond to complex clinical situations in real time
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout procedures
- Maintain equipment and uphold technical quality standards
Required:
- Completion of ASTEP program or equivalent education/experience
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of recent sleep technology experience
- Preferred Certifications (any of the following):
- RPSGT (BRPT)
- CPSGT (BRPT)
- SDS credential (NBRC)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt in dynamic clinical situations
- Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
- Clear communication and teamwork across disciplines
