Quakertown Veterinary Clinic (QVC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team!
We are a full-service veterinary hospital in Quakertown, PA, providing both routine care and 24/7 emergency services for a wide variety of animals. Our overnight team plays a critical role in supporting hospitalized patients, assisting technicians, and ensuring continuous, high-quality care through the night.

What You’ll DoAs an Overnight Veterinary Technician Assistant, you’ll support patient care and hospital operations during critical overnight hours.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with daily care of hospitalized patients (feeding, walking, and monitoring comfort)
- Cleaning cages, stalls, litter boxes, and maintaining a sanitary hospital environment
- Washing dishes, water bowls, and handling laundry (washing and folding)
- Stocking supplies and preparing materials for the next day
- Setting up and breaking down exam rooms and treatment areas as needed
- Safely restraining dogs, cats, and some large animals (including horses)
- Supporting technicians with routine patient care tasks
- Assisting with limited client interactions and hospital visitations when needed
- Full-time and part-time overnight positions available
- Overnight shift coverage required (typical overnight hours vary by hospital need)
- Weekend and holiday rotation required to support 24/7 patient care
- Additional compensation provided for overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Experience with animal handling (preferred but not required)
- Interest in veterinary medicine or technician training programs strongly encouraged
- Calm, dependable, and able to work independently overnight
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and attentive during overnight hours
- Ability to safely handle and restrain animals as needed
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 lbs regularly
- Ability to Maintain a professional presence, including communication, appearance, and conduct
- Ability to see clearly at close range, distinguish colors, and adjust focus
- Must be over the age of 18 to apply
