Summary

An established general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up multifamily projects. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day field operations, maintaining schedules, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely and with high quality.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with multifamily experience who enjoys being heavily involved in field execution and wants long-term growth with a builder that maintains a California pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily field operations on ground-up multifamily projects
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and site logistics
  • Build and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules and sequencing plans
  • Coordinate trade partners and maintain schedule milestones
  • Manage quality control and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications
  • Oversee jobsite safety and maintain OSHA compliance
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings and coordinate trade sequencing
  • Work closely with Project Managers on budgets, schedules, and project updates
  • Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and proactively resolve field issues
  • Maintain daily reports, site logs, and project documentation
  • Support punch list completion, turnover, and closeout activities
Requirements
  • 5–10+ years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor
  • Ground-up multifamily experience required
  • Experience with wood frame, podium, or mixed-use multifamily projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination
  • Experience managing subcontractors and maintaining accountability in the field
  • Familiarity with inspections, safety requirements, and quality control processes
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
