What You'll Do
As an RVT at TCVH, youll play a critical role in patient care, including:
- Monitoring and reporting patient health conditions
- Providing nursing care, treatments, and routine procedures
- Drawing blood, performing radiographs, and diagnostic tests
- Placing IV catheters and administering anesthesia
- Assisting in surgical and dental procedures
- Educating clients on care, treatments, and medications
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Supporting inventory, cleanliness, and hospital workflow
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CurrentOhio RVT license(required)
- Strong animal handling and patient care skills
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures, diagnostics, and medications
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Positive, professional attitude and excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Familiarity with EzyVetsoftwareis a plus
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
Work Environment & Schedule
Our hospital is fast-paced, with a heavy surgical and medical caseload. Team members must be able to multitask in a dynamic environment and interact professionally with clients, patients, and colleagues. Exposure to radiation and anesthesiais part of the role - proper PPE and training are provided.
We offer full-time (3040 hrs/week) and part-time (<30 hrs/week) positions. Flexible availability is a must, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Weekend shifts include a $1/hr shift differential. We are closed on all major holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk throughout the shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs
- Must be able to safely restrain animals
- Repetitive motions (bending, lifting, reaching) are required
