Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a specialized integrated medicine unit focused on at-risk patients, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active MO or Compact RN license.
Details
- Integrated Medicine unit with a 24-bed max capacity, focused specifically on at-risk patients
- Secured unit featuring enhanced safety measures including whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and badge-secured entrance
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Schedule of 36 or 48 hours/week can be discussed at time of interview
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- CPI Blue Card required (Behavioral Health RNs)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in Med/Surg
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
- Holiday coverage required for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
- Role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
- Position operates within a 24/7 healthcare facility; rotating shifts and availability during inclement weather are expected
