Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in inpatient settings is based in Kerrville, Texas. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and rehabilitating patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, adhering to all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Kerrville, Texas
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: One year of Speech Language Pathologist experience, LTC or rehabilitation experience, Texas State License, CCC certified Speech Language Pathologist, active American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification, active Texas licensure, and BLS certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Three years of experience holding active California Clinical Certification (CCS)
- Additional Information: Effectively screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, developing appropriate plans of care and documenting all procedures per regulatory and clinical standards. Provides consultation and counseling to patients and families, participates in meetings and trainings, supervises and supports Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists, and adheres to ethical practice standards.
