Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting — Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- Operating Room unit with 407 total staffed beds
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week; shift start times vary between 6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 9:00 AM–9:30 PM
- Weekends required
- On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
- Floating to like units may be required to meet facility needs
- Charting via Epic (required)
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Free parking on-site
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active Alaska (AK) RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, CNOR
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must also meet the 50-mile radius requirement
- All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
