Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
Details
- Located on an inpatient Labor and Delivery unit (L&D) within a hospital setting
- Cares for inpatient obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
- Weekend shifts are required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (all from American Heart Association)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring, intrapartum care, medication administration, and patient education specific to the obstetric population
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include fetal well-being monitoring, obstetric medication administration, patient and family education, and participation in intrapartum and surgical delivery care
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system after reaching the 1-year mark
- Holiday shifts are not required
