Job Summary:
A talented Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed in Philip, South Dakota, to provide skilled outpatient and inpatient therapy services. The position involves working primarily in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities, with occasional coverage in hospital and assisted living settings. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Philip, South Dakota
- Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, South Dakota Occupational Therapist (OT) license, Mobility Certified (COMS)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional licensure experience; clinical experience does not qualify. Prefer candidates with long-term care or skilled nursing experience and those familiar with long-term recovery therapy.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with flexible start times between 0700 and 0900, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Float: May be asked to float between hospital and two nursing homes; one nursing home is approximately 25 miles away, and drive time will be compensated.
- Additional Information: The therapist will primarily spend time in LTC/Skilled Nursing settings with less than 10% in outpatient. Work involves treating 6-8 patients daily, depending on departmental caseload.
