Join a travel SLP opportunity in Bishop, CA supporting an outpatient hospital clinic and occasional acute care coverage. Provide pediatric and adult outpatient services, conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies for adults, and support inpatient/acute care as needed. Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Current California SLP license required to start the assignment.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Pediatric and adult outpatient experience.
- Ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) for adults independently.
- Willingness to float to acute care/inpatient units as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Inpatient/acute care experience.
- Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800-1830.
- Regular schedule: Monday–Friday, structured as four 10-hour days.
- One weekend per month on call: coverage approximately 0700-0900 (about 2 hours).
- Position is primarily outpatient (approximately 98% outpatient, 2% inpatient).
- Outpatient caseload: roughly 60–70% pediatrics and 30–40% adults. Typically one outpatient MBSS per week.
- Float requirement: may be required to float to acute care as needed.

Impacting Patient Care
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services addressing communication and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations. Perform MBSS procedures and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support acute stroke and neuro patients when inpatient coverage is required. Maintain clinical documentation and contribute to quality care in both outpatient and occasional inpatient settings.
