Job Description:
The Certified Surgical Tech in the Operating Room is responsible for providing support to the surgical team in a clinical setting. This includes assisting with operating procedures and ensuring a sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure the maintenance of the sterile field during the surgical procedures.
- Work alongside surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses to provide patient care.
- Monitor and account for instruments and supplies used in procedures.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Epic, with at least one prior travel contract.
- Experience in plastics, general, ortho, ENT, or neuro is preferred but not required.
