Summary: The Senior Living Sales Specialist (SS) will support the two Inspir communities in achieving occupancy and move-in goals. This role involves filling in for current vacancies in the Leasing Director/Sales position, training new Sales Team Members, and temporarily supporting communities as additional help to support the community’s occupancy goals. The SS will focus on maximizing occupancy, training sales staff, and ensuring effective sales processes across multiple locations. *Prior or Current experience in Senior Living preferred. 

Essential Functions:

Job Duties Daily:

  • Assist communities in meeting and exceeding sales standards as set by the VP of Sales.
  • Train and support sales team members in their roles to ensure consistent performance across all communities
  • Answer telephone inquiries, schedule visits, conduct tours, and close sales in line with sales and marketing goals.
  • Meet and greet visitors and provide tours to prospective residents.
  • Utilize all Maplewood sales tools consistently.
  • Ensure communities present a positive first impression; communicate any issues to supervisors
  • Ensure model apartments are clean and well-appointed.
  • Ensure qualified leads are entered into the CRM and maintained accurately.
  • Cultivate leads and manage the database, including written and oral communication.
  • Identify all lead sources and ensure they are logged in the CRM system.
  • Work with community staff to maintain or grow occupancy to maximum levels.
  • Collaborate with department heads to emphasize the team’s role in sales and their participation in the community sales and marketing plans.
  • Coordinate new resident move-in processes, including paperwork, unit readiness, and welcome events.
  • Meet monthly budget targets; discuss any variances with the Executive Director.
  • Provide sales or customer service training

Job Duties Ongoing:

  • Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of communities compared to competitors and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Identify primary and secondary markets and develop appropriate sales strategies.
  • Gather and analyze CRM reports to identify solutions and improvements.
  • Help at the communities that are the top priority from an occupancy and revenue standpoint.
  • Complete competitive market analysis and maintain a detailed competitor comparative analysis twice a year.

  • Follow emergency procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to safety practices and procedures.
  • Exhibit a sincere passion for working with seniors.
  • Display creativity, energy, enthusiasm, patience, flexibility, encouragement, and team orientation.
  • Promote Maplewood positively and effectively communicate organizational values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut, with a minimum one-year experience in assisted living or home care
  • A passion for working with seniors is preferred
  • Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members.
  • In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
