General Laborer

Legacy Building Solutions is an established and growing fabric manufacturer located near St Cloud, MN. We manufacture tension fabric buildings using a rigid steel frame with a fabric outer membrane.

We are seeking a General Laborer preferably with experience in construction and tension fabric structures.

The primary hours for this position are Monday - Thursday 6AM-4:30PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Measure, mark and cut the fabric based on plan requirement
• Pull tension fabric off the rolls and lay on the floor tight to be measured and marked.
• Roll out fabric and lay flat to measure for each job.
• Attain a high level of accuracy/quality with high attention to detail.
• Loading/unloading of materials

• Identify and document fabric needed for each job.
• Feed product through equipment for edging.
• Use of different sewing machines that are uses in the manufacturing of our fabric
• Assists in the preparation of materials to be shipped to construction sites
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production area to storage or other designated areas
• Records amount of materials or items received or distributed
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to pre-determined sequence such as size, type, style or product code
• Forklift operation
• Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Demonstrate how to use tape measure
• Read the manufactures labels present on the rolls of fabric
• Ability to cross train to move into other production areas due to business needs

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Construction or upholstery experience is a plus
• Preferably one year working in a production environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  1. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull or move more than 50 pounds.
  2. stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
  3. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  4. Work in moderate cold and heat; and/or wet and humid conditions
  5. Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
