- Handle shop repairs and occasional field/job-site repairs during busy seasons
- Perform advanced diagnostics using scan tools, meters, and OEM software
- Complete major repairs when needed (engines, transmissions, hydraulics, components)
- Prioritize multiple breakdowns in a fast-paced environment
- Track repairs, parts, and maintenance records accurately

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of mechanic experience (10+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of gas & diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains
- Valid New York State driver’s license
- NYS Motor Vehicle Inspector certification (or ability to obtain quickly — company supports licensing)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of lifting, working outdoors, and handling field repairs
- Reliable, organized, safety-focused, and communicative
Preferred Experience
- Heavy equipment, skid steers, loaders, small engines, or irrigation equipment
- Fleet maintenance in landscaping, irrigation, or construction environments
- ASE certifications, CDL, welding/fabrication skills
- Major component rebuild experience
What We Offer
- Up to $55/hour, based on experience
- Overtime pay at time-and-a-half
- Health insurance (partial employer contribution)
- Dental insurance (employee-paid)
- 401(k) with partial company match
- Paid time off
- Tool allowance or additional perks may be available
- Year-round, stable work with a respected family-owned company
- Opportunity to grow and lead within a supportive team environment
