Job Description
Position: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Owings Mills, MD
Shift: 6:00am - 6pm; 2-2-3 schedule.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00/hour
We are seeking candidates who have experience in both machine operation and production assembly/fabrication.
As a Manufacturing Technician, you would perform a wide range of tasks including but not limited to machining parts, making and inspecting sub-assemblies as well as final assemblies of all of our roller and slide guide products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Follow standardized work procedures and work sequence for each process.
- Work with their team to improve standardized processes / methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process / methods.
- Directly responsible for performance of duties within assigned work area.
- Complete all working documentation, records and reports as requested.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Be proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process.
Minimum Background and Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- MInimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent mechanical training/aptitude/experience
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to communicate and work well with others in a group environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in cooperation with other team members towards building a sense of teamwork
- Desire to proactively identify and make suggestions for continuous process improvements
- Basic math skills and measurement skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM including some weekend hours
Additional Background and Skills Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1-3 years of experience operating CNC machinery
- Experience in reading blueprints and using applicable measurement tools and gauges such as calipers and micrometers
- Experience deburring parts
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Requires frequent walking or standing up to 85% of the day up to 12 hours a day
- Requires repetitive hand motion 100% of the time
- Lifting and pushing 45% of the time
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
