Night Stock Department Leader

Essential Job Functions:

• Load and unload truck deliveries.
• Must be able to meet productivity standards.
• Stock merchandise.
• Keep back room stock, salvage, and supply areas organized.
• Block or face shelving.
• Build or tear down displays on end units, promo isles and other area displays.
• Maintain sanitation conditions in entire store, including the backroom.
• Check, bag, and carry out customer’s groceries.
• Order merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain floor, shelf and grocery areas clean and up to sanitary standards.
• Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly in the area of maintenance of a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and Walking – Frequent standing and walking. Estimated total time 7.5 hours. Maximum continuous time up to 4 hours.
• Sitting – Rarely required. Estimated total time 30 minutes. Maximum continuous time 30 minutes.
• Lifting and Carrying – Max weight 90-100 pounds, average weight 25 pounds, distance carried 2 – 10 feet. Must frequently lift items less than 10 pounds and items between 11-25 pounds; occasionally lift items between 26-75 pounds and rarely lift 76- 100 pounds.
• Pushing and Pulling – Occasionally pushing or pulling carts, flat beds, U-boats, tray racks, and pallet jacks up to 100 feet.
• Climbing – Occasionally climb step ladder ranging from 1.5 feet to 6 feet tall. Occasionally reaching product stored on shelves above reach.
• Other – This position also requires frequent bending, squatting, and kneeling, as well as constant use of either arm or both for reaching in all directions. Other requirements include walking across sloped surfaces, twisting, neck flexion/extension, cervical rotation, high grip strength, frequent forearm movement, and frequent or sustained awkward wrist positions.
• Work Conditions – Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, sudden changes in temperature, tool vibration and sharp edges.
