Position Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our family medical practice. The ideal candidate will support physicians, nurse practitioners, and office staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties, requiring excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Clinical/Administrative Duties

 

  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
  • Record patient history, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately.
  • Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by a physician or nurse practitioner.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, collect and process specimens, and conduct diagnostic screenings (e.g., EKGs).
  • Educate patients on medications, procedures, and follow-up care.

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current certification/registration (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a family practice or primary care setting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and basic office software (Microsoft Office, scheduling systems).
  • CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain).

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, plus benefits.
