Position Summary
El Nunu Medical PC is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or Medical Doctor (MD) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient-centered care, values teamwork, and is committed to improving the health and well-being of the East New York community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary and preventive care to patients of all ages.
- Conduct physical exams, diagnose, and manage both acute and chronic conditions.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and lab results.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate closely with medical staff and specialists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Active New York State license as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), DO, or MD (required).
- Board certification (or board eligible) in Family Medicine or related field.
- Current DEA license (or eligibility).
- Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive, patient-focused care.
- Prior experience in primary care or family medicine preferred.
- Spanish is a huge plus
