Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
Parish Administrator
Employment Type: Part-time (30-35 hours per week); salary negotiable based on experience; four weeks paid vacation; retirement and health plan contributions offered
Position Overview
The Parish Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of the parish and serves as a key point of coordination for communications, records, and administrative functions. This role works closely with the pastor, staff, and volunteers to ensure the smooth functioning of parish life and ministries.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Publications (in coordination with the pastor and staff)
• Produce weekly worship bulletins
• Prepare and distribute the weekly parish newsletter
• Develop and publish the monthly education newsletter
• Coordinate annual publications, including:
- Parish yearbook/church directory
- Program brochure
- Stewardship materials
Digital Presence
• Maintain and update the parish website with current communications
• Upload online worship materials and support livestream services
Parish Records Management
• Maintain accurate records of membership, baptisms, marriages, and deaths
• Track parishioner stewardship, including annual pledges and contributions
• Prepare and distribute quarterly giving statements
Operations & Administration
• Ensure efficient day-to-day office operations, including managing supplies and equipment
• Schedule and oversee administrative volunteers
• Provide administrative and logistical support for parish activities
Ministry Support
• Oversee daily operations of the Rivermont Area Emergency Food Pantry
• Provide assistance and support to parishioners as needed, serving as a welcoming and responsive point of contact
Qualifications & Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a sense of humor, open heart, pastoral sensitivity, and a collaborative spirit
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
Commitment to the mission and values of the parish
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based
Regular interaction with parishioners, staff, and volunteers
Occasional flexibility in schedule may be required to support parish events
