This position’s primary focus includes daily shipping and receiving duties, cycle counting, production orders, shipping logistics, facilities maintenance, and warehouse quality system activities assigned by the Warehouse Lead.

$20-$22.00hr

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and organization of all inventory and other items in the warehouse

• Ensures all company warehouse procedures are followed (quality and accuracy).

• Process incoming shipments utilizing business software to verify accuracy, identify proper storage locations, and proper placement once received.

• Responsible for fulfilling special requirements identified by the customer service team and management of customer shipments.

• Maintain inventory accuracy and daily cycle count; verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate any discrepancies.

• Manage stock location assignments by determining proper storage methods, identification, and stock location.

• Manage Ready to Pick process to ensure all sales orders, production orders, and transfers are filled on-time as prescribed by order parameters.

• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

• Ensure shipments are adequately packaged for delivery to the final customer site, maintaining high standards in packaging.

• Coordinate the scheduling of all LTL shipments as well as ensuring daily UPS/FedEx pickups and deliveries.

• Pick production order components in advance of Custom Solution assembly schedule.

• Manage branch-specific Open Deliveries.

• Perform routine warehouse equipment maintenance.

• Work closely with Warehouse Lead to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Good verbal, listening and written communication skills.

• Ability to work well with a team.

• Must have personal initiative and drive to seek out what needs to be done, or ask others what they need assistance with

• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and ability to learn company inventory software.

• Attention to detail and quality.

• Ability to operate forklift.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma and/or equivalent required.

• Previous warehouse/shipping & receiving experience preferred.

• Must hold a valid Driver License for their State.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

• Regularly lift and/or move objects 5-100lbs.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.

• All associates are expected to maintain a neat and orderly workspace while working together to keep common areas clean.

• Frequently engages in activities that require the use of hands for typing, handling, or feeling objects, reaching with hands and arms.

• Engage in effective verbal communication and active listening.
