• Age: Must be 21 years or older.
• Screenings: Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screening.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to regularly lift and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs. using a hand truck or dolly.
• Driving Record: Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean, safe driving history.

Position Overview

Swagner Express, Inc. is a locally owned and operated Contracted Service Provider for FedEx. We are looking for a reliable, motivated Pickup and Delivery Driver to manage a dedicated Ground route.

This is an active, fast-paced, and independent role. You will be the face of our company, ensuring safe, timely deliveries and pickups while providing excellent customer service to residential and commercial clients.

Route & Daily Schedule

• Dispatch Location: Georgetown, KY Terminal.
• Delivery Territory: Morehead, KY area.
• Daily Workflow: Dispatch from Georgetown, complete deliveries and pickups in the Morehead area, meet up with designated team drivers to consolidate loads, and return pickup packages to the Georgetown terminal.
• Availability: Must be able to work some Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Operation: Safely operate commercial box trucks or step vans across your designated route in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Loading & Delivery: Efficiently load, unload, and deliver packages to both residential and commercial properties.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers during stops, addressing any questions or concerns with a positive attitude.
• Vehicle Care: Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance needs immediately.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Prior experience as a commercial delivery driver or courier (highly desirable).
• Proven experience safely handling heavy lifting and physical labor.
• Experience driving commercial box trucks, step vans, or similar large vehicles.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently under a schedule.
