About the Position
We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and patient-focused Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our busy medical practice. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent patient care, and supporting providers and staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
- Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and patient history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Ensure patient comfort and address basic patient needs.
- Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
Clinical Support
- Assist with specimen collection and basic clinical tasks within scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Communicate patient concerns and needs to providers and nursing staff.
Room and Clinic Maintenance
- Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients.
- Ensure efficient room turnover to maintain patient flow.
- Stock exam rooms and clinical areas with necessary supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of supply needs (laundry and instrument sterilization).
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Team Support
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, reception staff, and management.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the State of Montana.
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
- Previous clinic or healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist patients with mobility as needed.
- Frequent use of computers and medical equipment.
