Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radioactive drugs, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies, start IVs as needed, and assist with patient care and documentation in Meditech and PACS systems.
Minimum Requirements
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field.
- State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine as required by state regulations.
- BLS certification.
- Certification by ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT).
- Experience performing nuclear medicine studies including cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, DAT scans.
- Ability to start IVs.
- Experience using Meditech, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMIS.
- Willingness and ability to float between nearby campuses as needed.
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
- Experience with Siemens Symbia T6 or similar gamma camera systems preferred.
- Previous experience in hospital radiology departments preferred.
Assignment Details
- 40 hours per week.
- 8-hour rotating shifts, usually starting around 0700.
- Weekend and holiday coverage required.
- On-call requirement is required.
- Required to float between Bryan and College Station campus (approximately 16 minutes apart).
- Department orientation required (12 orientation hours indicated).
