Job Summary:
Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) located in Johnson City, New York. This position involves observing and practicing sterile techniques, maintaining asepsis, and assisting surgeons during operative procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), and BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). No prior experience required.
- Schedule: Day rotation (Monday through Friday) with 8-hour shifts, starting typically between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., for a duration of 13 weeks. Candidates may work either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week. Up to three call shifts per week, each ranging from 8 to 16 hours, with one working weekend per four weeks.
- Additional Information: Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and Cardiothoracic procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), valve replacements, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), and robotic chest procedures is required for this role.
