HVAC Lead Installer

Job Summary:
Summit Heating and Cooling is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Lead Installer to join our growing team. The HVAC Lead Installer will be responsible for leading installation crews, ensuring high-quality HVAC system installations, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise HVAC installation teams on residential and light commercial projects
• Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related components
• Read and interpret blueprints, installation manuals, and building codes
• Ensure all installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes
• Train and mentor junior installers and apprentices
• Maintain clear communication with customers, office staff, and project managers
• Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure systems are operating properly before completion
• Maintain job site cleanliness and safety standards
• Manage tools, equipment, and materials needed for installations

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of HVAC installation experience
• Proven experience leading installation crews
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• EPA Certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, etc.)
