Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to lead, develop, and implement
automation and electrical control solutions across our manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role,
you will be responsible for engineering new systems, upgrading existing equipment, improving
productivity, and supporting production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting Plant Support
• Provide day-to-day support to operations, diagnosing root causes and restoring equipment
functionality.
• Maintain system backups, revision control, and complete documentation for all controls.
Robotics Intelligent Automation Controls Development
• Provide hands-on support for production automation equipment.
• Develop, program, and maintain PLC and HMI systems for new and existing equipment. (Allen‐Bradley
required)
• Design, build, and implement electrical control panels, wiring diagrams, and safety circuitry in
compliance with codes (NFPA 70E, OSHA).
• Program, integrate, and support vision systems, robotics, motion control, and VFDs.
• Program and troubleshoot Epson Fanuc robots, including integration with sensors, conveyors, and
control systems.
Project Leadership
• Own projects from concept through commissioning, including budget, schedule, risk management, and
technical documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (maintenance, engineering, operations, suppliers).
• Manage change requests, approvals, testing, and validation of implemented systems.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation,
Mechatronics, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Robotic programming (Fanuc/Epson)
• Demonstrated success programming and commissioning industrial automation systems.
• Strong PLC experience — Allen‐Bradley required - Automation Direct a plus.
• Experience developing HMI’s.
• Capable of reading and generating electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with motors, drives, sensors, and machine controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadlines.
• Experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment.
