Diesel Technician

Don Franklin Columbia Ford is currently on the hunt for an experience, qualified diesel technician. The Diesel Technician will specialize in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light-duty diesel vehicles. This role requires working independently as well as collaborating within a small team of technicians to ensure efficient and accurate service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and a keen attention to detail to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Pay will be based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine diagnostics on light-duty diesel vehicles
• Repair and maintain fuel systems to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical problems

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in diesel technology
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficient in diesel engine repair and electrical diagnostics
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools and reading technical manuals
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail
