Residential Superintendent

We are a small niche construction company currently seeking a team player with a positive, can-do attitude. The Superintendent will provide on-site coordination for all trades on high-end residential construction projects throughout the DMV area. They will be responsible for quality control, overseeing all trades and complying with jobsite safely regulations. Experience with BuilderTrend a plus.

Superintendent Responsibilities:

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

Creating a project schedule/timeline for all trades

Ensure that all work is performed according to contract documents and specifications

Develop punch lists for incomplete or deficient work.

Coordinate/schedule required inspections

Maintain subcontractor compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Supervise multiple trades at jobsite(s) simultaneously.

Preside over daily safety briefings and weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate the work.

Ensure that the jobsite is always kept in a clean, secure and organized manner.

Be proactive and take ownership of project(s).

Provide weekly emails to homeowners informing them of weekly happenings of what has been accomplished and what is scheduled for the following week.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum of 5 years of construction experience; residential preferred

Must be able to read construction drawings and specifications

Willingness to learn and a positive attitude

Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Experience with Buildertrend a plus

Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) throughout the DMV area

Understand work scope of multiple trades.

Ability to identify problems in the field and provide resolution(s).

Excellent communications skills
