School Based Speech Language Pathologist

The School Based Speech Language Pathologist plays a critical role in supporting the communication development of elementary and middle school students. Managing a caseload of 20-40 students, this professional conducts speech evaluations, delivers group therapy, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and advocates for student needs. Utilizing standardized assessment tools and digital reporting technology, the Speech Language Pathologist contributes to individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring, while benefiting from opportunities for professional growth and leadership within the school system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech evaluations using standardized assessment tools
• Implement group and individual therapy sessions
• Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Report progress to parents, staff, and school administration
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
• Collaborate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings
• Advocate for student communication needs
• Collect and document data to inform intervention plans

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
• State licensure for Speech Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in speech language pathology
• Proficiency in speech-language assessment and therapeutic interventions
