Assistant Superintendent

A respected Florida-based General Contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the team, initially to work on a high-profile ground-up country club project.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a construction professional looking to accelerate their career by working directly alongside one of the company's top Superintendents on the construction of a new clubhouse for a premier private country club.

The ideal candidate may already be working as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or emerging Superintendent and is eager to gain hands-on ground-up construction experience while learning from an experienced field leader.

Position Overview

The Assistant Superintendent will support day-to-day field operations on a ground-up commercial construction project, assisting with subcontractor coordination, safety, quality control, scheduling, and project documentation.

This role offers significant mentorship and professional development opportunities, including potential exposure to Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager responsibilities for candidates interested in both field and project management career paths.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and site coordination
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor work progress
• Help maintain project schedules and support milestone planning
• Conduct daily site walks and assist with quality control inspections
• Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company safety standards
• Track deliveries, materials, and equipment
• Assist with punch lists and project closeout activities
• Participate in subcontractor meetings and coordination efforts
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and field records
• Support communication between field and office teams

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction experience with a General Contractor preferred
• Experience on commercial construction projects
• Exposure to ground-up construction is a plus but not required
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore experience is a plus
• Local to Palm Beach County, Martin County, St. Lucie County, or surrounding areas

Compensation & Benefits

• $90,000 – $110,000 base salary (depending on experience)
