Job Summary
Coordinate receipt, transfer andreceivingof raw materialsinboundand internal transfers ofmaterials forusage
Pullraw materialsused for the daily manufacturing of paints,stainsandvarnishes
Cycle counting
PIV operator/ Reach truck,clampand sit-down
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide safe operation of forklift to move, storematerialsandmaintainstored materials in clean and orderlycondition
General Housekeeping
Participate on the spill response team andparticipateinclean upof liquid raw materials storagetanks
Operate trash compactor andassistvendors in preparing materials forhauling
Assistin and coordinate the delivery of dry goods and rawmaterials
Know and implementappropriate SAPtransactions for inventory, receipt,usageandcontrol
Additional Duties:
Receive, returnrailcarsandmaintainand clean storage tanks (Bulk Receiving)
Enter data into computer terminalregardingthe movement of liquid raw materials from receiving dock into storage tanks (Bulk)
Maintain stored materials in clean and orderly condition andmonitortank levels (Bulk) to ensure the availability of materials forproduction
Assistvendors in arranging and completing tank truck raw material deliveries, including unloading trucks, obtaining sample approval, and pumping transported materials into proper storage tanks(Bulk)
Qualifications and Experience
Educational attainment equivalent to high school graduation
Some inventory control,warehousingor material handling experience
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Knowledge of material storage practices, including hazardous substances inventory storage, raw material and internal transfer storage and disposition procedures
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations
Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation procedures
Ability to organize andmaintainraw materials and dry goods in proper storedcondition
Ability to safelyoperatetrash compactor andforklift
Ability to understand and follow oral or writteninstructions
Ability tomaintainbasic worklogs
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors andco-workers
Special Requirements
May berequiredto work shifts andweekends
