Join us as our next Process Tech and Manex Manager, reporting to our Site Head of Operations. You will lead and develop the team responsible for introducing and improving products, processing equipment, production processes, and production systems.
You will partner with our business functions including PT/Manex, FCA, CI, S+T, E&M, Quality, IT, Supply Chain, to enhance our site's capability to grow the business and improve the process.
Location Cincinnati, OH.
Salary expectation based on technical experience 100,000 - 135,000 usd
In this exciting role you will work with
Accountability for New Product Industrialization
Make sure new formulas and processes are viable and set up for site manufacture
Product transfers and flexible/BCP arrangements are viable and set up for site manufacture
Identify and resolve issues while balancing the needs of the site and the larger business.
Team members responsible for the process collaborate with partners on and off site, such as functions highlighted above and especially with production and FCA.
Improve the introduction process through problem solving and re-application of corrective actions, good practices, and existing solutions.
Technical Process Improvement
Be the accountable champion for the technical process requirements at the site.
Guide process and formula improvements that will affect site performance (quality, cost reduction, yield, safety)
Identify, justify, provide scope and process requirements for technical process improvement projects. Link to M&E / regional engineering
Oversee startup of new equipment / processes
Manage Technical Problem Solving and Support Master Plan Development
Facilitate PT/Manex team ownership for formula and process issues that require technical intervention
Ensure plans link to process capability and formula requirements.
Lead the Team
Be an inspiring communicator.
Develop the Technical team; succession planning, individual performance development and collaboration with Operations
- Prioritize, track, and communicate team impact on business KPIs to drive individual and team performance
Required Qualifications
B.S. (or higher) in chemical engineering or related technical field with 5+ years experience in process and project work, 3 of which should include experience in a leadership role.
- Process engineering background/Chemical engineering
Experience working with diverse workforces including technical teams, manufacturing groups and leadership.
Manufacturing/Engineering technical background, including product industrialization, process engineering, complex machinery and material flow, installations and evaluation of equipment into a growth environment.
Familiar with Lean fundamentals.
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of Safety and QC functions and requirements.
Understanding of accounting, financial, and MRP systems.
Understanding of local, state and federal regulations and GMPs affecting the food industry.
Knowledge of natural raw materials and food chemical processing techniques.
