Job Description
We are a respected New York litigation firm representing major insurers, transportation companies, and commercial clients in high-exposure personal injury matters. We are seeking a skilled Defense Personal Injury Attorney with experience in commercial auto liability to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
-Manage a caseload of commercial auto liability and general personal injury defense matters
-Handle all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
-Conduct investigations, analyze claims, and develop defense strategies for complex injury cases
-Attend court conferences, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
-Draft motions, briefs, reports, and case evaluations
-Work closely with clients, carriers, experts, and firm partners
-Mentor junior attorneys and support staff when needed
Qualifications
-JD from an accredited law school
-Admission to the New York Bar required
-3+ years of personal injury defense experience (commercial auto exposure strongly preferred)
-Strong understanding of New York negligence law, insurance defense practices, and commercial transportation claims
-Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
-Ability to handle a fast-paced caseload independently and efficiently
-Strong communication and client-relations skills
