Job Title: Maintenance Technician Facilities

Location: Rushville IN

Duration: Contract – 2 months

Schedule: 6:30am-2:30pm Mon-Fri 40 hours per week

During busy seasons, workers may need to work a second or third shift for a period, generally for a few weeks and with notice. During harvest, workers may also be required to work longer days and/or weekends due to weather conditions and business needs.

Job Details

• Ensure all work meets client safety standards through consistent practices
• Support plant operations through corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintain the condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools
• assist and complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed
• Assist in maintaining detailed equipment records
• Working with Operations to ensure maintenance activities are completed without interrupting production
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Holds a valid US driver's license
• Possess basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn, understand, and apply mechanical concepts
• Demonstrates problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations helpful
• Ability to safely perform duties in timely fashion while maintaining seed quality
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed
• Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect
• Ability to communicate verbally and written
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, walk on uneven surfaces
• Always maintains safety standards and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
• Exposure to dust and plant allergens
