Mechanical Industrial Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in assembling components of construction heavy equipment machinery, ensuring precision and quality in every task. This position offers a shift schedule of 6am-4pm from Monday to Thursday and 6am-2pm on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to assemble components of construction heavy equipment machinery.
• Ensure attention to detail in all assembly tasks.
• Read and utilize measuring tools, including measuring tape, with accuracy.
• Interpret and follow assembly manuals and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment in the assembly department.
• Work in an overhead indoor/outdoor environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, particularly on larger structures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Mechanically inclined with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in reading and following work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with assembly line processes.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and general labor tasks.
• Own basic tool set, including impact drills, sockets, and ratchets.
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments.

Work Environment

The work environment involves assembling and constructing heavy machinery in an indoor/outdoor overhead bay. Overhead cranes are used to transport components, and employees utilize hand and power tools. The setting is not climate controlled, and teamwork is essential in this collaborative space.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
