JMaintenance Mechanic Technician (Manufacturing Equipment)

Keep production running by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining packaging and processing equipment. Hands-on role supporting GMP/FDA compliance, preventive maintenance, and fast equipment changeovers.

• Compensation: $18.00$30.00/hr (DOE)

• Job Site Location: Spanish Fork, UT

• Work Schedule: 2:30 PM 11:30 PM (MondayFriday)

• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

• Variety of equipment to work on (packaging, blending/mixing, conveyors, etc.)

• Build valuable experience with GMP/FDA standards and continuous improvement

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) to reduce downtime and extend equipment life

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment

• Maintain and support machinery such as encapsulation machines, stick pack equipment, mixing/blending systems, conveyors, and packaging lines

• Respond to breakdowns quickly and partner with production to restore operation safely

• Assist with equipment changeovers, adjustments, and basic calibrations as assigned

• Install, modify, and optimize equipment for efficiency and reliability improvements

• Document maintenance work accurately (work orders, PM logs, parts used, corrective actions)

• Support facility maintenance tasks as needed while keeping a clean, safe work area

• Follow all safety policies (including lockout/tagout where applicable) and GMP requirements

Required

• Maintenance/mechanic experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to diagnose issues and repair equipment efficiently

• Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems

• Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and communicate clearly with production

• Comfortable in a production setting and able to follow GMP/safety procedures

Preferred

• Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, or powder manufacturing

• Familiarity with packaging equipment, conveyors, motors/drives, sensors, and controls

• Experience with troubleshooting PLC-related issues (as applicable) and documenting work orders

• OSHA/safety training and lockout/tagout experience
