CNC Machinist Programmer - Up to $35/HR

Company Information: A manufacturing company in Columbus is hiring a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, advanced machining, and creating high-accuracy components using wire EDM technology.

CNC Machinist Programmer's Schedule:

• 1st Shift
• Monday - Friday
• Flexible on hours
• Open to someone full-time or part-time

CNC Machinist Programmer's Job Duties:

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC wire EDM programs using CAD/CAM platforms (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
• Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications
• Set up and operate CNC wire EDM machines with Fanuc controls
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMM equipment, and other inspection tools
• Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, machine performance, and electrical discharge machining processes
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency
• Partner with engineering to review CAD models and recommend improvements for manufacturability and toolpath strategy

CNC Machinist Programmer's Requirements:

• Hands-on experience programming CNC wire EDM equipment (preferably with Fanuc controls)
• Strong understanding of CAD and CAM systems
• Familiarity with CNC milling and turning operations is a plus
• Solid knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement practices
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints
• Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of machining processes and tooling setups
• Continuous-improvement mindset with exposure to lean manufacturing principles
