Job Description
We are looking for a Database Administrator to support a modern data environment within a growing organization in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will help maintain a dependable, scalable platform that supports reporting, analytics, and emerging AI use cases. You will work closely with data, BI, and technical stakeholders to strengthen data operations, improve system performance, and promote effective platform management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily administration of the Microsoft environment, ensuring data pipelines and dataflows run smoothly and interruptions are addressed quickly.
• Track platform health and performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements that enhance stability and efficiency.
• Develop consistent processes for incident tracking, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution to support dependable operations.
• Maintain clear technical documentation covering configurations, support procedures, and operational standards.
• Configure and support connections between internal platforms and external data sources to enable reliable integration across business systems.
• Investigate and resolve data movement issues, helping ensure accurate and timely delivery of information throughout the organization.
• Manage Azure resource usage and capacity planning, recommending adjustments that align performance with business demand.
• Collaborate with data engineers, BI professionals, and AI-focused teams to improve data structure, accessibility, and readiness for advanced analytics.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of a scalable data warehouse foundation designed to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiative
• At least 3 years of experience in database administration, data engineering, analytics support, or a similar technical position.
• Solid knowledge of relational database design, SQL, and core data warehousing principles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and SQL Server technologies.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data integration practices, and business intelligence environments.
• Ability to analyze technical problems methodically and deliver practical, detail-oriented solutions.
• Comfortable balancing multiple assignments and shifting priorities in a fast-moving business setting.
• Interest in expanding technical knowledge and learning new tools within a rapidly changing data ecosystem
