Executive Chef — Build Chicago’s Next Standout Dining Destination | Chicago, IL | Full-Time | Up to $100,000 + Full Benefits
We’re opening a polished, upscale restaurant in Chicago in late summer 2026, and we need an Executive Chef with the creativity, discipline, and leadership presence to shape it from day one. This is not a maintenance role. This is a chance to build the menu, define the kitchen culture, set the standards, and help launch a restaurant designed to make a serious mark on the city’s dining scene.
The Executive Chef will lead menu development, recipe standards, plating direction, vendor relationships, inventory control, food cost management, kitchen hiring, training, and launch readiness. You’ll partner closely with ownership and front-of-house leadership to create a dining experience that is refined, consistent, and operationally sound.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of progressive culinary experience, including Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef leadership, with a strong background in upscale or fine dining. Opening experience, local purveyor relationships, and a sharp understanding of cost controls are highly valued.
Compensation is up to $100,000, based on experience, plus full benefits. Equal opportunity employer.
