This role focuses on performing precise quality inspections on materials used in RF technologies and EMI shielding composites for government-related applications. The Quality Technician inspects materials at multiple stages of production, documents all findings accurately, and collaborates closely with engineering teams to identify and resolve issues throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on materials and components used in RF technologies and EMI shielding composites.
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
- Use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, pin gages, and radius gages to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine inspection criteria and confirm compliance with design requirements.
- Document inspection results thoroughly and accurately throughout the production process.
- Carry out visual inspections to identify defects, irregularities, or nonconformances in materials and finished products.
- Communicate inspection findings and quality issues clearly to engineering and production teams.
- Work with engineering to support root cause analysis and corrective actions when quality issues arise.
- Follow established quality control procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment while handling inspection tools and materials.
- Collaborate with a team of other quality inspectors to ensure consistent application of quality standards.
- Minimum of 1+ years of quality experience.
- Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, height gages, pin gages, and radius gages.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Experience performing quality inspection and quality control activities.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation.
- Ability to perform visual inspections and identify defects or nonconformances.
- Comfort working in a lab environment.
- Ability to pass a 5-panel drug test and background check.
- Experience inspecting composite materials or components used in RF and EMI shielding applications.
- Prior experience collaborating with engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Strong written documentation skills for recording inspection results and findings.
- Solid teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with other inspectors and cross-functional teams.

Work Environment
The role is based in a lab environment, working alongside approximately 15–20 other quality inspectors. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime schedule. The environment involves regular use of precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, pin gages, and radius gages. Work is performed in a structured, process-driven setting that emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and adherence to quality procedures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.37 - $27.63/hr.
