Job Title: Assembly Operator – Quick Release Couplings (1st and 2nd Shift)

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling quick release couplings, operating assembly equipment, and packaging products for shipment in a clean, well-organized production environment. You ensure products function correctly, meet quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives while working safely and efficiently on a fast-paced 1st and 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble quick release couplings according to standard work and detailed work instructions.
  • Operate all required assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Package completed assemblies for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and packaging standards.
  • Verify the function and performance of products through visual inspection and functional checks.
  • Maintain a minimum 90% daily attainment level by meeting productivity and output targets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and help implement solutions using A3 and 3-legged 5 Why tools.
  • Ensure quality standards are consistently met at every step of the assembly and packaging process.
  • Follow established standard work procedures to maintain consistency and reliability in production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by applying 5S principles.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production setting while maintaining attention to detail.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in production, assembly, or general labor environments.
  • Ability to operate basic assembly and packaging equipment.
  • Comfort using hand tools in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good manual dexterity for small-part assembly and handling.
  • Strong attention to detail, including visual inspection of products.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Capability to perform in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining quality.
  • Motivated mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to follow safety policies, standard work, and work instructions consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in packaging, machine operation, or cleanroom environments.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes for manufactured components.
  • Experience with bench-type assembly operations.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement tools such as A3 and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of 5S principles for workplace organization.
  • Interest in working with automated equipment and CNC-based production systems.

Work Environment

This position operates on1st shift, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2nd shift, typically from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., in a well-lit, clean manufacturing facility. The environment features bench-type assembly work and ongoing investments in new equipment, including automation and CNC machines, providing exposure to modern manufacturing technologies. The workplace emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, supported by 5S principles and clear standard work instructions. You work in a structured, fast-paced production setting alongside a supportive team, with expectations for consistent productivity, quality, and adherence to safety procedures. Dress is appropriate for a manufacturing environment, with any required personal protective equipment provided in accordance with safety policies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
