The Accounts Payable will be responsible for assisting the Controller with the financial statement reporting. Plans and directs accounting activities within a finance department by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Duties
• Perform various clerical accounting functions to include: data entering, confidential accounting information, typing, filing, photocopying
• Process all accounts payable information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare monthly payments, entries and accounting functions for a real estate wholly-owned subsidiary.
• Prepare year-end schedules for tax accounting firm.
• Perform “clean-up” procedures on the A/P accounting balances on a monthly basis.
• Assist with travel invoicing for client reimbursement.
• Responsible for entering Office invoice payments on a weekly basis.
• Assist with the invoicing of in-house messenger service for client reimbursement
• Reconcile several Credit Card Statements on a monthly basis.
• Assist with various freight charges and creating PO’s as necessary for clients reimbursement
• Responsible for entering and printing checks on a daily basis.
• Review A/P for clean-up of aging and PO’s not paid.
• At fiscal year-end, prepare spreadsheet of accruals for outstanding invoices.
• Responsible for entering, editing, preparing, and printing 1099 fiscal year end.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and one year experience in Accounts Payable
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Studio Designer and Manufacturer and QuickBooks.
