Mancan Staffing is assisting a bust company in Kent who is seeing an Inventory Specialist to join the team!
Inventory Control Specialist Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse and manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are properly received, stored, tracked, and available for production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, cycle counting, ERP systems, and warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP/MRP systems. Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and material verification. Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and supplies. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and receiving issues. Organize warehouse storage locations to support efficient material flow and FIFO practices. Support production by ensuring materials are available and accurately tracked. Assist with shipping, receiving, labeling, packaging, and documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Assist with additional warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of inventory control, inventory management, warehouse, or material handling experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience with inventory management, cycle counts, and ERP/MRP systems. Forklift experience required. Strong computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of inventory control procedures and FIFO inventory management. Experience with barcode scanners and inventory transactions preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret documentation. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. High school diploma or equivalent required.
