  • Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and working capital to support ongoing business operations.
  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts and track performance against financial objectives.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare financial reports and key metrics for the CEO to support strategic decision-making.

  • Support annual audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls and accounting procedures for a small business environment.

  • Serve as the primary financial resource for the organization, handling both strategic and transactional accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a small business environment.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Experience managing the full accounting cycle independently.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and accounting best practices.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with ownership and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation preferred but not required.
  • Experience serving as the lead accounting professional within a small company.
